Karl Marx belongs to the ranks of those philosophical and sociological thinkers who throw potent thought-ferment into the world, and set in motion the masses of mankind. They awaken slumbering doubts and contradictions. They proclaim new modes of thought, new social forms. Their systems may sooner or later become obsolete, and the ruthless march of time may finally overthrow their intellectual edifice; meanwhile, however, they stimulate into activity the minds of countless men, inflame countless human hearts, imprinting on them characteristics which are transmitted to coming generations. This is the grandest and finest work to which any human being can be called. Because these thinkers have lived and worked, their contemporaries and successors think more clearly, feel more intensely, and are richer in knowledge and self-consciousness.

Life and Teaching of Karl Marx M 9788826432243 Books Reviews
ok
My first dilemma is how many star should I give this communist classic. How can I asses that book on the scale from "I hate it" to I love it"? As I lived under the communist regime whose mantra was Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, I can testify how horrible the teaching of these 4 man was. Even this type of literature was showed through my throat, I managed to avoid it. I think that it saved my life. If I read Marx's Capital as thoroughly as I have read it now, I would be so angry that I would have to scream my lungs out on the street. With no one listening and only secret police patrolling I would be an easy prey. This books is tiring rumbling abut almost nothing at al. It reads as the math book for great one to three. Examples given are trivial and Marx finds a way to keep rotating same simple numbers and using the same words in different sequence page after page. I for a god's love cannot figure out how this super boring book has cot on a fire and become a cornerstone of a building of a tyrannical society. As I have no intention to ramble as much as Marx does in his book, I have to close with a question. What the heck the people were thinking when were reading this book 100 years ago? I wish they picked a better book than this one .
Am also almost finished with the very lengthy and cumbersome, Das Capital, by Marx. Factually he did a good job of describing the economy of his time and much of the time leading up through the Industrial Revolution. Everything is worth understanding that he said except for his eventual "solutions" under a Communist system which everywhere it was tried only made economies and the lives of common folk worse. And beyond that the various and sundry Communist dictators killed people by the millions. The Marx cure was far deadlier than the disease - of oppressive early Capitalism. Enlightened self-interest is the ongoing better set of ideas. Although Marxist ideals are still alive and deadly in places like North Korea
I did feel as though I was getting some education that high school neglected to provide. In his era, the social changes and philosophy was probably considerably more necessary than it is today..He was a thinker... In the 1930s and forties, my school days, I recall nothing about Marx ever being mentioned..
I bought this book to learn. For that purpose, this book did the job. Karl Marx was different than I thought he would me.
I felt that the author did a fine job of describing the events and biography of Karl Marx.
still reading. Thanks for the quick delivery!
